Does the Flaretite Seal really stop hydraulic fitting leaks?

Eaton-Aeroquip have thoroughly tested the Flaretite Seal with extensive 1,000,000 square wave cycle testing. In all cases, the seal passed the stringent test requirements with zero failures.

Flared connections fitted with Flaretite Seals are today's answer to low cost, high integrity, "Zero-Leak" fittings.

What applications can the Flaretite Seal be used for?

Variations of the Flaretite Seal are available for the following applications:

  • High Temperature and Steam Fittings
  • Nuclear Power Fittings
  • Standard Carbon Fittings
  • Marine & Corrosive Fittings
  • Aluminium & Brass Fittings

Ultimately four flared joint standards will be covered by Flaretite's product range:

  • JIC 37 degree; (Joint Industial Conference) SAE J514
  • JIS 30 degree;  Japanese Industrial Standard
  • SAE 45 degree; Automotive SAE J512
  • SAE 45 degree; Refrigeration SEA J513

Manufacturing and distribution of the Flaretite Seal is based in the U.S.A. to meet the expected demand from U.S. distributors and OEMs, and to meet quality standards and local supply requirements.

Flaretite Seals are also available through Eaton-Aeroquip and Eaton-Weatherhead distributors, and many other quality-conscious hydraulic distributors.

Sales and order processing is met from our national offices based in the U.S.A., Australia and the UK.
